Even though there is some awareness about MPSC examination among the rural as well as urban population in Maharashtra, not many think of it as a strong career option. Especially in an industrially developed state like Maharashtra, there is availability of other attractive career opportunities such as Engineering (preferably software engineering), Medical, Management, Architecture so on and so forth. Maharashtra Public Service Commission is an autonomous constitutional body which recruits personnel for civil services in Maharashtra. MPSC: State Services examination conducts in three stages namely:

  1. Preliminary
  2. Mains
  3. Interview

Candidates have to clear each stage in order to be eligible for the next stage. If candidates clear the preliminary exam, they can appear for the mains exams, on the basis of marks of mains exam, they would be qualified for the final stage i.e., interview of the MPSC Exam.

MPSC: STATE SERVICES INTEGRATED BATCH (PRE.+ MAINS + INTERVIEW)

This course provides combined guidance for Prelim exam and Main exam. Guidance is also provided for all 4 papers of General Studies, compulsory English, and Marathi. The guidance for CSAT is included in the Prelims part. The year-long course starts in June and a short batch of 4 months for Prelims in the month of December every year. Generally, we focus on guidance (this is designed as per new syllabus) for the Main exam first and then turn towards Prelim exam. If MPSC exams are announced in between, necessary changes are made in the guidance programme immediately. Thus, this is a flexible course.

  1. Marks of both papers will be considered for qualifying the mains exam.
  2. Both Paper I and Paper II have negative marking for all the incorrect answers.
  3. There will be no negative marking for unattended questions.
  4. There is negative marking of 1/3 of the marks allocated to the question.

  6. MPSC Prelims is screening in nature.
